The Sinister Crawl, was inspired by Entomology, the study of insects. The collection silhouettes, structures, pattern lines, volume and fine details reference the striking world of bugs and beetles. The beauty of these creatures and their unique colors and forms initiated a journey of research into their delicate and rich forms, which often combine elegance with crudeness, softness with roughness, and perfect symmetry with asymmetry. This fascinating divergence forms the backdrop for the collection.

Happy Easter & Good Friday !!

Burçe Bekrek SS 2012 - ESTRO/VERSA

Label FeaturesGuilty Hyena5 Comments

Do take a moment to get to know Burçe Bekrek, whom I featured last season as the one to watch, she has returned with a clear versatile, uber feminine collection with a palatable edge. Burce has reflected her craft and creativity by paying attention to new fabric compositions, forming 50% linen & 50% cotton fabrics to ward off crinkle crease predicaments, whilst keeping faithful to key fabrics as silk crepe, silk jersey and washed silk. You can once again discern the multipurpose compatible pieces in this collection transpiring as her design philosophy. The handmade collar accessory and zippers which come in three colors, are a sweetened bonus to the collection.

I would wear these in a heart beat!

describes the versatility of this collection "Couture like dresses that seem like a one piece, are two pieces and can be wearable at anywhere anytime. For example the skirts can also fit well with boyfriend cut tees! My vest designs can be wearable in two or three ways."

Anastasiya Komarova - FORMS CLUTCHES

Label FeaturesGuilty Hyena3 Comments

My senses of touch have heightened immensely! by peering over these come-hither clutches. For a split second there, I wanted to take a bite out of that tablet of chocolate or run my fingers over them! but alas my craving moved onto the other strange seductive pieces from the collection. The leather looks melt-able into cubes, chains, spheres and crosses resulting in a perfect distinctive finish. If you remember playing with play-dough, you could simply imagine Anastasiya Komarova, molding squishing away with play dough in her toddler years. The Russian designer’s intricate and delicate way of working with these textures demonstrates her artistic craftsmanship.

These delightful pieces make you want to grab a clutch and hold on to it until the cows come home.

The collar rebellion is in full flow, lock and detach it! so many to choose from, glad to see that some of the collars are now affordable, to boot they look D.I.Y friendly, So turn your collar up to some sinfulness and fudge the lines between the crimes.. without the bulk of a fixed shirt.

Best bib and tucker, Dannijo accessories is point blank acapulco gold, scamper to check out the collection here, I think they're priced very well too, bearing they're not priced for the high street but just a tad above that market, something I could afford to buy sparingly. Photo's courtesy of
